Shelby Miller is joining the Chicago Cubs, according to a person familiar with the situation, after the pitcher had major elbow surgery in October. Miller has agreed to a $2.5 million, two-year contract with Chicago, said the person who spoke to The Associated Press on Friday on condition of anonymity because the agreement was pending a physical. Miller played for Arizona and Milwaukee last year, going 4-3 with a 2.74 ERA and 10 saves in 48 appearances.
