Mikaela Shiffrin will hope to have found the feeling for the snow when she makes a final attempt at the Milan/Cortina Games to end an Olympic curse of sorts on Wednesday in her pet event, the slalom. An 11th-place finish in the giant slalom may sound poor by her standard but appeared to have given her plenty of positive feelings because she was close to the podium despite rarely competing in the discipline lately.
